Photo Competition 2012 of the Swiss Ornithological Institute in Sempach

The Swiss Ornithological Institute in Sempach would like to get the public interested in birds and raise their awareness for the protection of birds.
The fascination that emanates from birds is ideally conveyed by outstanding photographs. Pictures showing the colourfulness of plumage, pictures illustrating the highly diverse physical features from the swan to the tiny firecrest, pictures that give us an understanding of the diverse patterns of behaviour and pictures that allow us to witness the flying skills of birds.
